    A. Good setlist. glad to see you head back to the 70s..i think that should be done much more often.

    B. As a huge PT fan, I am not overly impressed with the song choice there. It sounds like your guest and I have very similar musical tastes, but in my opinion, that is about PT's 100th best song (and I sport the full catalog and then some). That is something I would expect from Leif.

Ol Slopdaddy is shootin off his mouth-a-reeney again. He does have an extensive song "ranking system" for each of his favorite bands - not well thought out - but extensive. He's like a child that wanders into the middle of a movie.....

These comments are classic - the anonymous hater comment had me laughing out loud... I don't recall vandalizing a Mongoose... why do I get the feeling that comment was planted?

As for the PT comment from Sloppy, I fully admit that I am a Porcupine Tree novice (which I mentioned on the show) and I am all ears for a ranking of the albums/songs I don't have yet - all I have so far is Stupid Dream, In Absentia, and Fear Of A Blank Planet. I'm just really high on them at the moment as a recent discovery and I was talking about it with the host. Sloppy I don't mind deferring to you on this... However after having fully digested the three albums that I have, I would put Stranger By The Minute in the top 5 tracks of anything from those three. From most comments I've seen and the couple people I've talked to who are really into PT these three albums seem to be pretty highly regarded, so I'm pretty skeptical that you are going to find me 99 (or even 30) better tracks... Prove me wrong - I hope you do since that would mean I'm in for some amazing stuff (which I figured I was anyway). For the record I submitted Slave Called Shiver and Stranger By The Minute so the host could choose. I also figured I was a little limited because many PT tracks are long and there is a time limit on the show...

I'm always up for a good healthy music debate.

Did not mean to seem as though I was calling anybody out there...I just don't like that one as much as many others....100 is obviously an exhagaration...maybe 50 to 75 better songs to my ears at least...mostly from
        1995 forward.

i personally think 90% of the songs since In Absentia are the best PT has ever done...but there also many, many great ones going back to the 2nd or 3rd release...i am not impressed at all with the stuff from the 1st cd.

Slop’s been waiting his entire life for this day – the day when someone actually takes an interest in his massive collection of music from one of his favorite bands. The months and years of waking up at 3:30 AM and downloading music in his dark, dingy back room are now paying off.

I will have to back Sloppy up on his questioning the decision to debut Porcupine Tree on Bombout Radio by playing Stranger By The Minute. I think 100 is a bit of a stretch (unless you include live versions of the same song); but I personally wouldn’t put it in my top 40 PT songs.

To think that you have yet to hear the Deadwing and Nil Recurring albums makes me a jealous guy; for you (Mr. Cohen) are about to embark - for the first time - on a Voyage of profound music from PT, much good stuff awaits you. I am sure Sloppy is busy preparing a detailed roadmap to take you far from whence you came.

I can't wait! I had Deadwing on my radar... By the way the band that warrants your attention is The Church. I only didn't suggest them for this show because they wouldn't have fit the vibe, but they in some ways could be my favorite band. They have dominated my playlist pretty consistently for years and they are possibly the most prolific band on the planet. They don't really have much to do with this discussion obviously, but I feel I'd be doing to disservice to anyone I'm in a music discussion with if I don't plug them. Amazing band - probably between 75- 100 discs of music in the last 30 years between all the members.

I know who "Your Host" is...it doesn't take a genius to figure out. He and Doug Cohen were dickheads...they gave me wedgies and vandalized my Mongoose...oh and the show sucked.

Who is this?  Did I give you a front wedgie or a back?  What color was the Mongoose?

I laughed my ass off listening to Mr. Host and guest, Doug Cohen. Even heard my name mentioned re: the Kiss Reunion concert at Tiger Stadium. Fuckin hilarious. The Cleveland story was great. I've had "Larger than Life" in my head ever since. Rock on...

Thanks for listening Chris, good to hear from you.  Dougie is a budding star in the podcasting community!
